Sustainability criteria for retailers at re:sap
Company-related criteria
To ensure that all re:sap members work together to positively improve the fashion industry, we only accept retailers who share this vision. Our criteria provide the framework for sustainable action, help strengthen a responsible trading environment and offer protection against greenwashing.
In addition to company-related criteria such as the way employees are treated or the electricity provider, we primarily look at the product range.

Assortment-related criteria
re:sap's focus is on fashion, shoes and bags. Our members must therefore ensure that the brands sold in these areas meet our sustainability criteria. To do this, a questionnaire must be filled out and the range disclosed. All brands in the range must either be on our brand whitelist (i.e. they have already been checked and approved) or they must undergo a corresponding review by re:sap. In doing so, we check both working conditions and ecological criteria in the respective production chains.
In the event of any ambiguities or new brands that do not yet fully meet our criteria, retailers are given 24 months to positively influence their suppliers or redesign their product range accordingly.
